Church History

Tabernacle Baptist Church started as a vision of Pastor McCann back in the late 1920’s. Pastor McCann knew it was God’s desire that there be an Independent Fundamental Baptist church in Roswell, New Mexico. From that time, the Lord has grown TBC into a thriving church with a big heart to reach people all around the world. God has given TBC great pastors to lead this congregation; notable men such as R.A Dorsey, Will Nelson, Porter McDougal, Woodrow Baker, Howard Ingram, Clyde Spain, Alvin Lay, Onsy Whicker, Geary Miller, and presently Jerry W. Beaver as the Senior Pastor.
