Tabernacle's Core Values

MISSION

We exist to help people find and follow JESUS

WE VALUE...

LIVING BY FAITH

We will never insult God with small thinking and safe living. We want to go deep in God’s Word and experience life change, but we also want to go wide in reaching the lost world for Jesus.  It is not either/or, it is both/and.
Matthew 28:19; Hebrews 11:6

Question: Will this involve trusting God so much that I will fail without Him?

BEING KNOWN BY LOVE (SERVING)

We believe God so loved the world so we refuse any form of prejudice. We love freely and frequently with no strings attached. We want to be known by grace and not a critical spirit.
1 Corinthians 13:8; John 13:35

Question: Who do you love that someone may find unlovely?

BEING A VOICE OF HOPE (EVANGELISM)

We are convinced that Jesus is the hope of the world. We will do whatever it takes to reach people with the gospel of Christ.
  2 Peter 3:9b

Question: Who are you personally impacting?

PURSUING EXCELLENCE

We always bring our best to create relevant environments that honor God and inspire people.
  1 Corinthians 10:31

Question: Does it honor God and inspire people?

EXTRAVAGANT GENEROSITY

We believe we are happier when we give than when we receive. We give up the things we love for the things we love even more. It’s an honor to sacrifice for Christ and His Church.
Acts 20:35

Question: Will this require a sacrifice?

PERSONAL HOLINESS

We will honor Christ and His church with integrity. If we live with integrity, nothing else matters. If we don’t live with integrity, nothing else matters.
Hebrews 12:14

Question: Is this a good thing or a God thing?

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

God desires that we take next steps to stay close to Him and to stay clean. We choose daily to go God’s way over the world’s way.
Romans 12:1-2

Question: Am I climbing or sliding?

INTENTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

We are responsible to learn and return the information God has given us for transformational purposes. This community will be
built through real relationships.
2 Timothy 2:2

Question: Whom am I investing in? In whom is investing in me?

TEAM

We is better than me. We are better together. We can see God do a great work as we maintain unity.
1 Corinthians 1:10; John17:23

Question: How am I contributing to the unity of my church?
